Learn how to coach families to let go of fear and panic, tolerate a loved one’s distress, and become an effective supporter for their loved one in eating disorder recovery.

This Three Day, Interactive Course Includes:
Learning to coach on the topics that Becky uses in her coaching conversations
Getting to know the toolkit Becky uses with her clients
Basic coaching techniques training and practice
Instruction and experiential learning on Becky Henry’s unique coaching model
Hands-on coaching practice in developing CALM, COMPASSIONATE, CONFIDENT CAREGIVERS.
What is the Coaching Approach to Caregiving?
Gently validating and guiding overwhelmed, heart-broken parents and other family caregivers through a parallel process to heal the holes in their hearts while training them in self-care skills to find their peace in the midst of this crisis so they can calmly support their child in recovery and be prepared to calmly, confidently & compassionately welcome them back home.
Becky Henry’s coaching model is successful when caregivers are seen as Competent, Capable and Unbroken.
Requirements:
Either be a Clinician with CEDS/equivalent experience or
Complete The Carolyn Costin Institute’s Family and Loved Ones Course – at a discounted rate (please note: Class states “For Clinicians”, but you do not need to be a clinician to attend) and
Complete an initial coaching certification at an ICF accredited school such as Learning Journeys
Required Components:
Attend 3-day Training Course
Complete 4 Coaching Sessions
Supervision of 4 Coaching Session
- Optional: Ongoing supervision and support with client cases (see EDC Coaches – Coaching Support & Supervision below)

Becky Henry has been coaching caregivers of those with eating disorders (ED) since 2003. She started coaching caregivers after being coached herself, for support while she was a caregiver of a loved one with an eating disorder.
The goal of Becky Henry’s Eating Disorders caregiver coaching is helping the family become more calm, compassionate, confident, and competent in their ability to support their loved one with the eating disorder.

Eating Disorder Caregiver (EDC) Coaches – Coaching Support & Supervision
After completion of the EDC Coach Training and four supervision sessions; EDC Coaches receive a certification badge like the one here to place on marketing materials & website to illustrate that they’ve completed the ED
Caregiver (EDC) Coach Training.
This course does not provide certification and there will be no testing. By completing this course, you agree to specific conditions outlined during the course, including not providing weight loss coaching to clients.
EDC coaches are Referral Partners, not subcontractors.
